RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS WHO NEED A VISA FOR STUDY REASONS
Romanica, the school of Italian language, is recognized by the Italian Ministry of the Public Instruction. With application for a course at Romanica, it is possible to request for a study visa for the periods longer than 3 months.
Students who need the registration certificate in original, signed and printed on the school’s paper with letter head and the official document of the state of Italy proving the regular activity of the school, which can be required by the Italian Embassy in order to grant a student visa, have to pay in advance the total price of their course. The school can send the documents mentioned above only after the payment has been received in full.
Though always in abidance with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ instructions, embassies in different countries may follow specific procedures in the issuing of visas (e.g., the minimum of hours of attendance required), therefore we always recommend to check with the Italian Embassy in the country of residence before applying. The school merely provides the required documents, but it’s the applicant’s only responsibility to gather all the correct information about the procedure to follow and the real possibility of getting the visa in their country of residence.
Processing time may vary according to the Embassy, therefore the student should always apply in advance.
Should the visa be issued after the beginning of the course, missed lessons can neither be recouped, postponed or refunded. The attendance of the course is limited to the dates appearing on the registration certificate.

PROCESSING TIME AND WAYS OF DELIVERY OF DOCUMENTS FOR VISA REQUEST
The Romanica school is able to produce the documents only after full payment by the student. The documents will be handed over personally (to the student or a trusted person) or sent by priority mail. The material may also be sent by courier (charge applies) upon request.

IN CASE OF REFUSAL OF THE STUDY VISA
In case of refusal of the study visa, the school will reimburse the paid amount (except 200,00 euros secretarial charges) only at the following conditions:
– written cancellation should arrive at least 15 days prior to the beginning of the course
– all original documents sent to the student must be returned to the school
– official declaration by the Italian Embassy stating the refusal of the visa and its cause
In case of refusal of the study visa for reasons attributable to negligence of the student, Romanica school will not reimburse the paid amount and will keep it as a bonus valid for the new request for study visa.
