RATSCHLÄGE FÜR EINEN SPRACHAUFENTHALT IN ITALIEN
Häufig
bitten wir unsere Studenten von unterschiedlicher Nationalität etwas über ihre
Eindrücke und über die Besonderheiten, die sie während ihres Aufenthalts in
Italien, und besonders in Modena, erlebt haben zu schreiben. Diese kleine Tips
können
Dir die Möglichkeit geben, Dich vor Deiner Reise besser vorbereiten zu können, ohne
dass Du schon mal in Italien gewesen wärest; es sind bestimmt viel bessere
Ratschläge als wir, für die das ganze Alltag ist, Dir geben könnten! Pass
aber auf, da Personen von unterschiedlicher Herkunft die Sachen etwas anders
sehen können.

MODENA
«Questa città è molto
carina. È comodissimo viverci. Non ci sono tanti turisti, non ci sono
tanti reati, non ci sono tanti rumori. Mi sembra che Modena sia più
comoda delle altre città. Ma se a te piace un gran rumore come a Tokyo,
Parigi, Milano, New York, Modena potrebbe farti sentire un po’ annoiato.
Poiché non mi piace il casino, io sto bene qui!
Modena si trova quasi al
centro dell’Italia, quindi è molto conveniente per spostarsi dovunque.
In estate fa molto caldo e umido, come in Giappone….»

«This
town is very pretty. It is very comfortable to live in it. There aren't
lots of tourists, crime or noise. For me it seems that Modena is more
comfortable than the other towns. But if you like lots of noise like in
Tokyo, Paris, Milan, or New York, Modena could make you feel a bit bored.
But since I don't like a big hassle I feel good here!
Modena is located almost in
the middle of Italy and thus it is very convenient to move around. In the
summer time it is very hot and humid, like in Japan....»

IL
DUOMO DI MODENA
«A Modena ci sono tante
cose affascinanti. Mi piace soprattutto il Duomo: è molto gentile,
perché sulla facciata sono scolpite tante scene del vecchio testamento,
così posso capire anch’io la storia anche se non conosco bene il
cristianesimo.»

Modena there are lots of fascinating things. Above all, I like the
Cathedral: it is very pleasant because on its facade has been sculptured
many scenes from the Old Testament, and thus also I could understand the
history even if I do not know very well Christianity.»

CUCINA ITALIANA
«La cucina modenese è
ottima. L’aceto balsamico e il lambrusco sono i prodotti più famosi.
Gnocco fritto e tigelle sono abbastanza unti e pesanti, ma sono veramente
buoni e unici. E costano poco!»

Modenese kitchen is excellent. Balsamic vinegar and Lambrusco
are the most famous products. Gnocco fritto and tigelle
are quite greasy and heavy, but they are really good and unique. And they
don't cost much!»

«Anche se l’Italia è
conosciuta come il paese del sole, non fa sempre bel tempo. Soprattutto se
passate l’inverno nel nord Italia, vi consiglio di portare dei maglioni
e un cappotto caldo.»

Especially if you are in northern Italy at the winter time I would advice
you to take with you some thick pullovers and a warm coat.»

«Mi sembra che i prezzi
siano abbastanza cari a Modena, soprattutto al supermercato. Però la
città è tranquilla, non è pericolosa e la gente è molto gentile.»

me it seems that the prices are quite high in Modena, especially in the
supermarkets. But the town is peaceful, safe and the people are very
friendly.»

I
TRENI
«In Italia i treni sono
molto economici, quindi si può viaggiare in tutto il paese facilmente.
Attenzione, però: capita spesso un cambiamento del binario di partenza o
arrivo; c’è spesso sciopero; il ritardo dei treni è quotidiano; può
succedere qualsiasi avvenimento, quindi è meglio avere abbastanza tempo
per spostarsi.»

«In
Italy travelling by train is very cheap, and so it is easy to move around
the whole country. But pay attention: it often happens that the platform
from where the train is leaving or in which it is arriving changes; there
is often a strike; the trains are late every day; everything might happen,
so it is better to have enough time when travelling.»

«Per prendere l’autobus
fate un cenno con la mano, perché l’autista sappia che volete salire,
altrimenti non si ferma!»

CALCIO
«La squadra di calcio del
Modena è stata promossa in serie A, ed è in gamba! Lo stadio si trova
vicino alla stazione. In Emilia Romagna ci sono 4 squadre di seria A: il
Piacenza, il Parma, il Bologna e il Modena. Ci sono tante occasioni di
vedere i giocatori famosi!»

soccer team of Modena has been promoted to the major league and it is very
good! The stadium is located close to the train station. In Emilia Romagna
there are 4 teams in the major league: the Piacenza, the Parma, the
Bologna e the Modena. There are lots of occasions to see famous players!»

LE
FARMACIE
«Le farmacie non sono
sempre aperte; seguono l’orario di apertura come gli altri negozi
(mattina e pomeriggio, con una pausa per il pranzo) e chiudono verso le 8
di sera. Alla domenica molte farmacie sono chiuse. E se ti viene mal di
testa o il raffreddore quando sono chiuse? Per fortuna, esistono le
farmacie di turno, cioè farmacie sempre aperte, anche di sera o alla
domenica.»

pharmacies are not always open; they follow the same opening hours as the
other stores (open in the morning and afternoon with a lunch break at noon)
and close around 8 in the evening. On Sundays most of the pharmacies are
closed. And if you get headache or flu when they are closed? Luckily exist
the "farmacie di turno", the pharmacies that are always open,
even evenings and Sundays.»

DOTTORI
«Mal di testa, mal di
schiena, allergie improvvise…. Sono rompiscatole soprattutto quando
siete all’estero. Se vi succede di avere urgentemente bisogno di un
dottore, lo dite alla scuola o ai vostri amici italiani (troverete sempre
qualche amico italiano…). Esistono il Pronto Soccorso (in ogni ospedale)
e la Guardia Medica. Secondo la vostra condizione, vi sapranno consigliare
a chi rivolgervi.»

«Headache,
backache, sudden allergies.... Are the nuisance specially when you are
abroad. If it happens to you to have an urgent need to see a
doctor, tell
it at school or to your Italian friends (you will always find some Italian
friends...). There are the Emergency Room (in every hospital) and the
"Guardia Medica" (a first-aid station). Depending on your
condition they will know to tell you were to go.»

ANTIBIOTICI
«Se avete bisogno di
prendere un antibiotico in Italia, è meglio assumere anche la flora
batterica intestinale, perché il dosaggio degli antibiotici italiani è
molto forte rispetto a quello degli antibiotici giapponesi. Attenzione,
perché c’è il rischio di bloccare la pancia.»

have to take antibiotics in Italy it is better to take also something to
enhance your intestinal bacterial flora since the dosage of Italian
antibiotics is much higher that of those in Japan. There might be there
risk to block your stomach.»
