PROGRAMS FOR STUDENT GROUPS

LENGTH OF SOJOURN:

7 days; arrival on Sunday - departure on Saturday

TEACHING PROGRAM:

5 mornings from Monday to Friday

4 lessons daily of 50 minutes with Italian teachers specialized in the teaching of Italian as a foreign language. As for the didactic program of the language lessons, our teachers welcome suggestions about specific grammar and cultural needs of the classes.

ACCOMMODATION:

host family: double room + half board (breakfast + dinner) - 6 nights

AFTERNOON PROGRAM OF EXCURSIONS: 3 activities per week

1. Sightseeing tour of Modena, with an explanation of the most interesting places of the city (monuments, meeting points for young people, etc.)

2. Visits to workshops and factories of alimentary products for which Modena is worldly renowned: one can choose among:

  1. Ferrari Gallery (entrance fee not included - € 10 per person)

  2. Lamborghini Museum (entrance fee not included - € 10 per person)

  3. a visit at a vineyard producing Lambrusco

  4. Balsamic Vinegar producer

  5. The famous Parmigiano Reggiano cheese

  6. Panini, world's leading stickers producer

  7. Hand made pasta's workshop (supplement of € 8 per person)

  8. Pizza's workshop (supplement of € 8 per person)

3. Visits to places of historical and artistic interest, such as:

  1. Bologna, Piazza Maggiore, le Due Torri, and shopping and  walk through the typical Italian market place

  2. The medieval and renaissance Castle of Vignola

  3. Parma, historic centre, cathedral and baptistery

  4. Reggio Emilia, historic centre and Ghiara Cathedral

  5. Visit to Modena "Luciano Pavarotti" Theatre

  6. The natural reserve of "Salse di Nirano"

4. Intercultural activities with Italians:

  1. a meeting with a class of local students of the same age in their institution; Italian school system and conversations with Italian students

  2. a visit to the redaction of the local newspaper Gazzetta di Modena, with a short article published in the newspaper and on-line.

  3. the traditional game of "bocce"

PRICE PER STUDENT ALL INCLUDED = € 315

For less numerous groups the price might increase 5% to 10%.

ACCOMMODATION TEACHERS AND TUTORS:

  • apartment; single room + use of the kitchen = € 135 per week

  • hotel; single room + breakfast = from € 59 per night
