ACCOMMODATION If you wish, Romanica will find and reserve living quarters for your stay in Modena. We are well aware that your housing environment is of the utmost importance, and for this reason we ourselves select and monitor all the living situations that we propose for our students, ensuring that they are comfortable and are located in proximity to the school or conveniently close to a bus stop. There are three possibilities for your housing:
WITH A FAMILY: This is the ideal option for students who want to have maximum immersion in and contact with Italian daily life and habits. This possibility includes a room and a breakfast; if requested, it is also possible to eat dinner by the host family (with the half board option or also casually). The bedclothes and the towels are given by the host family. IN AN APARTMENT: This is generally shared with other students or with the owner of the apartment, and includes the use of kitchen. The bedclothes, the towels and all the necessary for cooking is supplied by the owner; the students are responsible for the cleaning of the apartment. IN A HOTEL: This arrangement is advisable for those who seek to enjoy the maximum personal autonomy. The hotels recommended by the school are all located in the historic center. The secretary of the school can help you to book a room.
The accommodation in family and in apartment are reserved for the students from the day before the beginning of the course until the day after the end of the course. If you desire to arrive before or to depart later, you can contact the school and ask for the availability of the accommodation for 1 or more supplementary days.  We ask you to communicate to the school your approximate arrival time to Modena, so that the family and the apartment owner can make it to be at home to receive you. A friend or a relative travels in Italy and wants to pass by to greet you? Eventual visitors are welcome and, in case there is a place available, they can sleep where you are staying. We ask always to get a permission from the school and from the owner; the price is equal to the price for an additional day.
